The LinkedIn "Influencers" are Coming
When you hear the word influencer, what comes to mind? “Get ready with me” videos? Perhaps it’s your foodie friend who always says “The camera eats first.” What you might not think about immediately is LinkedIn, but that could change.
At The Wilbert Group, we've witnessed the power of the right influencer. Our clients have experienced sell-outs of entire outfits after a single influencer visit. We’ve orchestrated successful openings and holiday events with carefully selected influencers on-site. We've built relationships with influencers for diverse audiences. Most of this work has been done on Instagram — until now.
LinkedIn is getting in on the game. This month the social media platform announced it will begin letting advertisers promote posts from content creators with a product called Thought Leader ads. Some large brands have already been using this feature to amplify posts from their own employees, but it is now opening up to allow anyone to boost a post with the author’s permission.
At The Wilbert Group, we already use LinkedIn to tell our clients’ B2B stories. Thought Leader ads are just another tool. When a client’s partner, employee or customer shares important messages, we can now amplify that content, reaching more people. We are excited to add Though Leader ads to client programs.
If you’re interested in learning more about the new feature, let us know. We’re ready to help you craft and amplify your message across the appropriate channels.
