Jake Stansell

A former broadcast journalist, Jake applies his knowledge of the media to client work every day at The Wilbert Group. Jake joined Wilbert in 2025 after a nearly six-year career in local television. He was the sports and features reporter in cities like Joplin, Missouri;  Burlington, Vermont; and Birmingham, Alabama. 

Though a Georgia fan, he still lists covering Alabama football as a highlight of his broadcast career. “Having the chance to cover Alabama football and Nick Saban the final two years before he retired was one of the best ways to cap off my local television career," he says. "Not only did I get to see more of Coach Saban's personality, but his witty comments, life lessons, and quotes at press conferences are moments I will always remember." 

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jake graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications with a degree in advertising. When he's not at work, you can catch him traveling around the world, exploring the best coffee and bagel shops in town, walking the Beltline and teaching himself how to play the piano.
